NotesAn initial letter sent from Kathleen Hill, Churchill's private secretary dated 30th August confirming a letter and Memoranda had been received from Mr Saunders and that Mr Churchill will reply when returning from holiday. Closely followed by a letter from Churchill while on holiday, dated 5th September, thanking Mr. Saunders for the Memoranda and reads..."Should I publish another edition of my 'Life of George Randolph Churchill', I shall certainly desire to add them as one of the appendices to the chapter on his resignation..." and guessing as to the writer of the Memoranda. The second letter from Churchill reads "...I am quite sure you are correct in thinking that the writer of the Memoranda was Sir Henry Wolff..."
Churchill letters: One page typed on Chartwell stationery, the other on House of Commons stationary, both boldly signed in ink. Private secretary letter also on Chartwell stationary. With two original envelopes.
Hole-punched at the top left-hand corners, light creasing from old folds, overall very good.
