Biography of the English author, politician, poet and connoisseur. In WWII he served as an intelligence officer with the 4th Cavalry Brigade during Anglo-Iraqi War and the Syrian Campaign, accounts of which were published, in the first instance - in keeping with his grand sense self-image - by the Golden Cockerel.
