This was Coward's first collection of sketches, taken from the revues London Calling (1923), On with the Dance (1925), This Year of Grace (1928), Cochran's Revue (1931), and The Third Little Show (1931). It includes "Mad Dogs and Englishmen", first performed that year, which soon became Coward's signature song.
