First edition. Uncommon, particularly so in the jacket. Just four copies on Library Hub, WorldCat adds five. This copy inscribed on the second blank; "Good wishes from Juliet de Key Whitsed, May 1935". Illuminating and entertaining diaries of "adventure and work" of a VAD in Salonika from June 1917 to June 1919, "lively" (Matthews). Whitsed later published on "Diet in a Modern Hospital" (1934), and "Scientific Catering for Institutions" (1937).
