Critique de la Raison Pure.
Traduite de l'Allemand, sur la septième èdition, par C. - J. Tissot, Professeur de philosophie.Paris: Librairie de Ladrange, 1835 Stock Code: 143530
First edition in French of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason, here with a presentation slip from A. Durand and Pedone Lauriel, booksellers and publishers, to the front free endpaper of vol. I. Joseph Tissot's translation was surprisingly late, half a century on from the first publication of Kant's masterwork. The translation is taken from the seventh German edition.
2 volumes, octavo (211 x 132 mm). Contemporary green quarter calf, twin black calf labels, green marbled sides, brown marbled endpapers.
Light wear at spine ends, minor rubbing, bottom corner of front cover of vol. II bumped, contents gently foxed; a very good copy.
