Lewis was the first American to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature, in the year after the publication of this book.
Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine and front cover lettered in blue on an orange background, front cover also lettered in orange.
Spine and covers slightly faded and rubbed, spine ends a little worn and frayed, slight wear to a couple of tips, a few marks to covers, front hinge sometime repaired, closed tears to pp. 121-2 and pp. 239-40 with previous neat tape repairs. A very good copy.
