This marked the first appearance of a book by Joyce in the US. With the bookplate of the Virginian poet Armistead Churchill Gordon (1855-1931) to the front pastedown.

Spine sunned with light rubbing at ends, light foxing to initial and final leaves and to edges, minor toning to contents yet clean. A near-fine copy, binding square and cloth clean.
