Notes

First edition, sole printing. A book of war poetry of pacifist tendency by a minor but fascinating member of the modernist set. Spire - a French Jew - was an intimate of Pound, at whose suggestion and at whose apartments the party was held where James Joyce and Sylvia Beach first met. In his editorial capacity at The Egoist, Pound would have been instrumental in its publication.
