Farewell Keystone.California: Theresa Records, 1988 Stock Code: 144588
Original pressing of this excellent live album, signed in full by the great vibraphonist on the back cover in fine-nibbed black marker pen; additionally signed generously (twice!) by bassist Buster Williams across his portraits on the back in silver marker and black ball-point pens.
Farewell Keystone is awarded four (out of five) stars by AllMusic, Scott Yanow commenting, "recorded a year before San Francisco's legendary club Keystone Korner (which was open for 11 years) closed, this live set features tenor-saxophonist Harold Land with vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson (who co-led a group with him in the 1970s) and trumpeter Oscar Brashear (who has often teamed up with Land during the past 15 years). With pianist Cedar Walton, bassist Buster Williams and drummer Billy Higgins completing the sextet, it is not surprising that the music is hard bop-oriented and of consistent high quality".
12-inch vinyl LP (Theresa TR124), new plain paper sleeve (original sleeve also present), original album cover.
Just a little shelf wear otherwise very good; disc in excellent condition.
