Starr was an American screenwriter, gossip columnist, and film reviewer. Fowler's book is a biography of Mack Sennett, a director and actor active in Hollywood during the 1910s and 1920s.

Spine and edges of boards slightly faded. An excellent copy in jacket with toned spine, a light stain to front flap, chipping along extremities, and a few tape repairs to verso.
