Quarto. Finely bound by Bayntun (Riviere), Bath, in orange morocco, spine lettered in gilt, raised bands, floral motif in gilt to spine and boards, turn-ins richly gilt, marbled endpapers, all edge gilt.
Illustrations
30 colour plates (including frontispiece) from illustrations by Willy Pogany, all with captioned tissue-guard, decorative title printed in black and red, historiated opening initials.
Condition
A couple of small marks to boards, the binding otherwise vibrant and sound, scattered foxing to endpapers, else internally crisp; an attractive copy.
