First collected edition, one of 155 unnumbered copies printed for private circulation. The four books were respectively published in 1823, 1824, 1827 and 1844, all in a very small print run, with this being the second printing of each.
With the tipped-in bookplate produced by the Scottish artist Katherine Cameron (1874-1965) for her husband Arthur Kay (1861-1939), alongside the gilt-stamped heraldic device of the art collector R. T. Hamilton Bruce (1846-1899).
Description
Octavo (191 x 119 mm). Early 20th-century tree calf by Zaehnsdorf, green morocco labels, gilt lion rampant device to covers, red patterned endpapers, gilt edges.

Condition
Spine tanned, light rubbing to extremities, else a near-fine copy.
