First edition, first impression, of each of the separately published Four Quartets, except East Coker, which is the third (first Faber) edition as usual, preceded by the two rare New English Weekly Supplement printings of that poem alone.
With loosely inserted press cuttings from The Spectator of 17 October 1941, reviewing The Dry Salvages, and receipt from Selfridges, London, from around the same year.
4 volumes, octavo. Original colour wrappers, titles printed in black to front covers, edges untrimmed, Little Gidding and The Dry Salvages partly unopened.
East Coker: spine expertly repaired, wrappers a little toned, foxed, slight spotting to top right corner of Burnt Norton, the bindings otherwise bright, internally clean; a very good set.
