Notes

First edition, first printing. Presentation copy, inscribed by Eastman on the front free endpaper in pencil: "To Francis indecipherable Jr. from George Eastman, March 1930." Eastman (1854-1932) was an American innovator and entrepreneur who founded the Eastman Kodak Company and popularized the use of roll film. A short essay on Eastman by Lord Riddell entitled "An Appreciation" is laid-in.

Condition

Titles to spine slightly faded, tips rubbed, internally fine; an excellent copy in the jacket that has toned spine, some nicks and chips to extremities, two short closed tears to head of rear panel, and tape repairs to extremities.
