Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.London, Bloomsbury, 1999 Stock Code: 141679
NotesFirst edition, first impression, first state, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "To Jon, with best wishes J K Rowling".
This copy has the requisite first state issue points: the number series on the copyright page from 10 down to 1, "Joanne Rowling" as the copyright holder, and the dropped line (line 24) of text on page 7. It is generally held that there were 2,500 copies of the first state, inscribed copies of which are notably uncommon. In the second state, the dropped text is corrected, and the copyright attributed to "J. K. Rowling".

A fine copy in fine jacket.
