Contemporary red full straight-grain morocco, spines elaborately tooled in gilt, initials in gilt to covers, within gilt single rule border, enclosing a blind palmette-roll panel, edge roll, turn-ins tooled in gilt oak-leaf pattern, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt, red silk page markers.

Shelf label to front blanks. Slight rubbing to extremities, a touch of work damage to joints, light soiling to covers, faint browning to endpapers, contents remarkably fresh; a very good, bright, set.
