First edition, first printing. Inscribed by Thomas on the front free endpaper: "To Thada Sesher Lowell Thomas". A collection of excerpts from some of the preeminent journalist's broadcasts made between 1930 and 1955. With a newspaper clipping concerning explorations and research, loosely inserted.

Octavo. Original dark red cloth, titles to spine gilt on black, red top edge. With the pictorial dust jacket.

Condition

Offsetting to title page and a few of the preliminary leaves, including the title page, pp. 194-5 offsetting from broadway ticket. A very good copy in a toned and worn jacket with chipped and nicked extremities and a 9 cm long tear along rear joint.
