Dorothy Tierney was an American actor who appeared in many Broadway plays, including My Golden Girl (1920), The Checkerboard (1920) and Dawn (1924); she was the fourth wife of American character actor Robert Keith. Eldridge's slim volume of verse was described by the Jewish Book Annual for 1946 as "a modest but impressive collection of poems dealing with the present Jewish crisis. They are addressed to the persecutors of Jews".
