Second US edition (revised) of Hemingway's first collection of stories, originally published in Paris in 1924, substantially revised for the Boni & Liveright edition of 1925, and republished here with further revisions and new introductions by both Edmund Wilson and the author, the latter later included as a short story in The First 49 under the title "On the Quai at Smyrna". Scarce in unrestored jacket.

Condition

Three pages poorly opened with some marginal loss but a very good copy in the somewhat frayed and tanned dust jacket with minor loss at the spine and along the top edge.
