"A work of genius" - T. S. Eliot

Auden, who considered it "a masterpiece" in which Jones did "for the British and Germans what Homer did for the Greeks and the Trojans", and of T. S. Eliot, who declared it was "a work of genius" in the preface to his 1961 Faber reissue.Description
