"Indépendence" de l'economie nationale et interdépendance des nations.
Paris: Aubier Montaigne, 1969 Stock Code: 142278
First edition, first printing, presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title "Pour Lionel Robbins en hommage d'admiration et d'attachement, son ami FP 2.12.69" (translated "For Lionel Robbins in homage of admiration and attachment, his friend FP 2.12.69").
A nice association: Robbins, along with Keynes, was the leading British economist during the inter-war period; at the London School of Economics, he "dominated the economics department for thirty years and built it up to its pre-eminent position in British economics" (ODNB). In his autobiography, Robbins praised Perroux as among those who resurrected the international community of economists following the war: "I think of Francois Perroux whose tempestuous energy has done so much to transform and re-create the shape and international affiliation of economic studies in France" (Robbins, Autobiography of an Economist, p. 219).
