Photograph of Paul Robeson addressing a meeting, likely a peace rally, inscribed "Kind wishes & all For Peace Paul Robeson". The photograph originates from the estate of Ray Gardner (1919-1997), journalist and editor at the Toronto Star, like Robeson a lifelong campaigner for peace, and sometime Chairman of the British Columbia Peace Council.
Inscribed photograph (248 x 201 mm). Together with another copy of the same photograph, and a further mounted photograph of Robeson seated at table, editorial marks on reverse.
Light discolouration on verso, photograph itself unblemished, very good.
