Second Aldine edition, following the first of 1514. The Aldine Quintilian was part of a series of Latin and Greek classics published by this press. This edition is dedicated to Giovanni Battista Ramusio (1485-1557), the Italian geographer and travel writer.

Bookplate of Stewart of Glasserton on front pastedown and modern book label on front free endpaper. Rubbing on extremities toning to edges, manuscript notation on endpapers. An excellent copy.
