First edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author to Sean Penn and Madonna on the title page, "For Sean and Madonna - In many ways this is the one closest to my heart. All best, Harry Crews". Crews and Sean Penn were good friends, having met when Penn bought the film rights to The Knockout Artist. Crews later played a minor role in Penn's 1991 film The Indian Runner, and dedicated his book Scar Lover to Penn.Description

Condition
Spine cloth spotted, extremities a little rubbed with light wear at the corners. A very good copy in the bright jacket, a little rubbed and creased at the edges.
