NotesFirst edition, first printing. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "For indecipherable and Pat Dale, whose tracks are all about the shack at Goose Bay, Frank B. Linderman, 1936". Writer and politician Frank Bird Linderman (1869-1938) collected the stories in this volume from the Native American tribe of the Kootenai, or, "Flat-bow-people". Scarce in the dust jacket and even scarcer inscribed.
Octavo. Original blue cloth, titles to spine and front board in yellow, decoration to front board in yellow and blue. With the pictorial dust jacket.
Colour frontispiece and three other plates, black and white vignette to title.
Extremities faintly rubbed. An excellent copy in a slightly chipped and tanned jacket with a few short closed tears.
