A beautifully presented and bound edition of Dante's Divine Comedy, with Dante's Italian printed parallel to Rev. Henry F. Cary's English translation (1814, a translation much loved by Coleridge), and with reproductions of Sandro Botticelli's illustrations, engravings of which were used in the first Florentine edition of the Divine Comedy (1481).
Folio. Original orange vellum, spine lettered in gilt, roundels and rules to covers in gilt, top edge gilt, others untrimmed.
With 34 double and 8 single-page plates after Botticelli.
