Tall quarto (298 x 229 mm). Contemporary brown half morocco signed Ourvand, titles and ornate marine motifs in gilt direct to spine, marbled boards ruled in gilt, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, tricolour silk page marker.
Pictorial half-title in green and gilt, title page printed in green and black, text within green decorative borders, and 40 colour plates mounted within brown frames and with captioned tissue guards.
Lightly scuffed and rubbed, the binding otherwise unfaded, occasional light toning and foxing, else internally clean; a very good copy.
