NotesFirst and limited edition, number 1,167 of 1,240 copies. Presentation copy to T. S. Eliot, inscribed by the author on half-title, "A T. S. Eliot avec l'admiration constante de Georges Cattaui". In 1936 Cattaui translated "Journey of the Magi" and "The Hollow Men" for publication in Mesures and was in correspondence with Eliot during this process. In 1958 he wrote a literary criticism of Eliot which has been described as "a landmark in Eliot-criticism" (Mishra).
