Le Capital. Extraits faits par M. Paul Lafargue.Paris: Guillaumiin & Cie., 1893 Stock Code: 122588
Selected by Marx's son in law, introduced by ParetoFirst edition of this selection from Marx's Capital, published in the series Petite bibliothèque économique française et étrangère, the product of a surprising collaboration. Lafargue, a founder of the French socialist party and later Marx's son-in-law, of all the French Marxist writers closest to German orthodoxy, made the selection of the extracts. Pareto, whose economic and sociological views by no means coincided with those of Marx, provided the lengthy introduction.
Small octavo (144 x 90 mm). Original light brown ribbed cloth, spine and front board lettered in black.
Frontispiece portrait of Marx with tissue guard.
Bookplate to front pastedown. Spine ends and corners a little rubbed and bumped, a couple of shallow knocks to top edges of boards, contents browned, otherwise an internally clean, very good copy.
