Les rêveries de Bip.
Illustrations de l'auteur.Paris: Les Éditeurs Français Réunis, 1978 Stock Code: 140934
First edition, first printing, presentation copy inscribed by the author on the half-title "A Hubert Juin, de tout coeur, Bip flower, Marcel Marceau 1978". Marcel Marceau (1923-2007) was a French actor and mime artist most famous for his stage persona as "Bip the Clown". The recipient, in fact Hubert Loescher (1926-1987), was a Belgian poet, novelist, and critic, listed at the end as having works published in the same collection as this book.
Sextodecimo. Original cream cloth, titles in black to spine and with a portrait of the mime to front board.
10 full-page monochrome illustrations by Marceau.
Spine and top edge a little darkened, the binding otherwise clean and firm, internally fresh; a very good copy indeed.
