A lament for a matador
First edition, first printing, of Lorca's lament for his matador friend, gored to death in August 1934; well-known in literary circles, Mejías was memorialized by various Spanish writers, including Miguel Hernández and Rafael Alberti, but it is Lorca's tribute which has achieved the greatest fame.Description
Quarto (280 x 217 mm). Recent green quarter morocco, spine lettered in gilt, green cloth sides, marbled endpapers, top edge yellow.
