NotesA handsomely bound copy of Gorsline's illustrated edition of Thomas Wolfe's first novel. Douglas Gorsline (1913-1985) was an American writer and artist who illustrated several children's books, including The Night Before Christmas, Christopher Morley's The Haunted Bookshop, and his own novel Farm Boy. This is the only Wolfe novel illustrated by Gorsline, and this illustrated edition was first published in 1947.
