First editions in English of three works by the great metaphysician

First editions in English, collected together and issued in 1836, marking the first publication of the Enquiry into the Proofs for the Existence of God. All three parts were printed in 1819 with their titles bearing that date, but only Logic and Prolegomena to Future Metaphysics were issued that year; in 1836 the remaining sheets of the Logic and Prolegomena together with the edition of Enquiry were here issued together with a general title page.

"Kant's great achievement was to conclude finally the lines on which philosophical speculation had proceeded in the 18th century, and to open up a new and more comprehensive system The influence of Kant is paramount in the critical method of modern philosophy. No other thinker has been able to hold with such firmness the balance between speculative and empirical ideas" (PMM 226).
