Mother Goose. The Old Nursery Rhymes.New York: The Century Co., 1913 Stock Code: 113097
First American edition, first impression, published October 1913, probably simultaneously to the London edition. The colour plates are the same large size as the London deluxe edition, printed on plain plate paper, omitting the Old Mother Goose plate, which instead forms the basis of the front cover design. The title page is a sampler design printed in colour that is not in the English edition.
Quarto. Original black cloth, titles to spine gilt, colour pictorial illustration of Old Mother Goose mounted on front cover. With the pictorial dust jacket.
Colour frontispiece and 11 colour plates, black and white illustrations in the text, by Rackham; title page printed in colour.
Bookplates of W. B. Goldstone and The Murphys, Clyde and Tubbs. An excellent copy in the moderately soiled dust jacket with chipping to spine ends and edges, paper reinforcement at head of spine verso.
