First edition, first impression. The poet and novelist Florence Margaret "Stevie" Smith (1902-1971), was awarded the Cholmondeley Award for Poets and won the Queen's Gold Medal for poetry. Hugh Whitemore's play, Stevie, based on her life, was adapted into a film starring Glenda Jackson.

Condition

Bookseller's ticket to rear pastedown. Corners a touch bumped, the binding otherwise sound, light foxing to endpapers, else internally clean and fresh. A very good copy indeed in the sharp jacket, not price-clipped, only minor wear to corners.
