This remarkable survival shows Nielsen's painstaking artistic technique in building up the four-colour process (Rackham used a three-colour process) to produce the rich and complex illustrations for his deluxe books.
Description
Four engraved copperplates, each measuring approximately 183 x 134 mm, mounted in a row, together with a full-colour pull of the image, framed and glazed.
Condition
Traces of green patina where copper has slightly oxidised, else fine condition.
