NotesSigned in pencil lower left by Maurice Noble and lower middle by June Foray. How the Grinch Stole Christmas was first released as a television special in December 1966, directed and co-produced by Chuck Jones. This drawing represents Cindy Lou Who as she spots the Grinch in his Santa suit and asks "Why are you taking our Christmas tree... Why?" Noble was in charge of the production design and animator Foray was also the voice of Cindy Lou Who.
