Some Essays in Economic Analysis.London, George Allen & Unwin, 1949 Stock Code: 141532
NotesFirst edition, first impression, presentation copy to the British economist Lionel Robbins, neatly inscribed on the front free endpaper "L.C.R. from WAL". A nice association: Robbins, along with Keynes, was the leading British economist during the inter-war period; at the London School of Economics, he "dominated the economics department for thirty years and built it up to its pre-eminent position in British economics" (ODNB). The essays collected in Overhead Costs "argued that the growing inter-war protectionism had exacerbated economic problems and prolonged the depression" (ODNB).
Octavo. Original brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt.
Very light rubbing to cloth, spotting to endpapers; a very good copy.
