First edition, first printing, of this handsomely produced and fascinating selection of images from the collection of the award-winning German photojournalist Robert Lebeck (1929-2014). They are representative of the first three decades of photography, starting with Fox Talbot's work and concluding with Franck's scene of a battered Place Vendôme during the Franco-Prussian War.
