A handsomely bound copy of the second edition of this photographic guide to Paris, published just before the Second World War. First published in 1937 with 164 photographs, this edition counts one more.
Large octavo (239 x 176 mm). Finely bound by Louisette Magdinier in contemporary tan morocco, boards with three grids tooled in blind and linked by French flags in blue, white, and red morocco onlays, title in gilt to French flag morocco onlay on spine, turn-ins ruled in blind, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, original wrappers preserved. Housed in matching marbled slipcase (light wear to extremities).
Numerous monochrome photographic illustrations.
The spine a touch rubbed, faint dark spot to rear board, the binding otherwise sharp, internally fresh and clean; a near-fine copy.
