First published in Mexico 1955, this groundbreaking was one of the progenitors of magical realism, and a major influence on the Latin American Boom of the 1960s and 1970. Gabriel Garcia Marquez's "tribute to Pedro Paramo was that he learnt the novel by heart" (King).
It also influenced authors such as Carlos Fuentes and Salman Rushdie. There were an additional four numbered copies signed and similarly bound, as well as unsigned cloth and wrappers issues.
