Poems, the author's second book, contains the poems from her first book, North & South (1946), as well as the 18 new poems that constituted the new "Cold Spring" section. Bishop won the Pulitzer Prize for this work in 1956.

Spine lightly faded, a little rubbing to extremities, mottling to cloth, faint offsetting to endpapers; a very good copy in the jacket with loss to spine ends and head of rear panel, tears to folds and rear panel, neatly repaired.
