First edition, first impression, of this anthology of poetry, which includes one of Larkin's first appearances in book form. It was published in February 1945, five months before Larkin's debut collection, The North Ship.
This copy has an appealing literary provenance, from the library of publisher John K. Martin (b. 1930), founder of the Black Sparrow Press, with his book label on the rear pastedown.

Condition
Bookplate of J. F. Fuggles to front pastedown. A near-fine copy, contents clean and sharp, in the like dust jacket, not price-clipped, spine toned, tiny chip to head of spine, bright and sharp.
