Peter Harrington Limited and its service providers will use your personal information for the purposes of fulfilling your order, customer services (including sending catalogues, newsletters and invitations if you give consent for us to do so) and administration and customer research.  Your personal information will be properly safeguarded and processed in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

Any information that you give us (Peter Harrington Limited) will never be given or sold to any other organisation under any circumstance without your express permission except to (1) our ICT and website providers, for the purposes of carrying out maintenance of our database and website, allowing the creation of customer accounts on our website and assisting us with sending you marketing information where you have asked us to do so, (2) our provider of online payment facilities in connection with processing your order, and (3) to couriers and other subcontractors for the purpose of fulfilling orders.

In the case of ICT and website providers, we have taken steps to confirm that each of these third parties are themselves compliant in the storage and use of data, including the removal of said data after use, and the encryption of said data while it is being held. What information do we collect about you?

We will collect the following types of personal information from you:

- Contact information for order fulfilments and customer services purposes (such as name, email address, delivery address and telephone number). This information may be used to contact you in case of difficulty in processing an order or to deal with customer services issues.

- Financial information relating to your payment for products (such as credit card number and expiry date) is collected and held securely by Worldpay or Braintree on our behalf. This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfil customers’ orders. 

-Personal photographic identification if you are selling books, artworks or ephemera to us, for the purpose of ensuring transactions are bona-fide and we can identify the seller.

How do we use this information about you?

We use the information you give us to fulfil your order and to contact you in case of issues with your order. We also use your personal details and contact information for the following reasons:

- Internal record keeping

- To improve the website and service provided by Peter Harrington Limited

- To create and maintain customer accounts on our website(s) if you have chosen to create one

- To contact you in case of difficulty in processing an order or to investigate customer services issues

- To follow up as part of our customer care procedures

During visits to our stores, our stands at book fairs, telephone correspondence and via website pop-ups, customers can give consent to be sent marketing material, in the form of email newsletters, print catalogues and invites/letters regarding upcoming events.

This requires contact information such as name and email address to be retained by us for this purpose. 

Users who no longer wish to receive further information electronically may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails or contacting us via our website or email. Users who no longer wish to receive printed catalogues can contact us in store, over the phone or via email (rob@peterharrington.co.uk).

Peter Harrington Limited is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. 

We will notify you of any changes to the ways we treat your personal information by placing a notice on this website and by email. You will always have a choice as to whether or not you wish us to use your information for additional purposes.
