NotesFirst edition. Signed by John Stonehouse, the British MP who caused controversy when he faked his own suicide in 1974. The inscription reads; " to/ Nigel Heseltine/ with kind regards/ from/ John Stonehouse/ Mauritius - July '63". Heseltine was a Civil Commisioner and later became Resident Commisioner of the Island of Rodrigues, a Mauritius dependency.

Some chips to spine and front side, boards a little dust-soiled, endpapers a little toned, some light foxing and browning to dust jacket, small tear at spine and one or two chips at edges, otherwise a very good copy.
