Notes

One of two editions published in 1787, one under the present title, the other under Reflexions d'un citoyen..., without established priority. The work was Gosselin's contribution to one of the many philosophical essay contests held in 18th-century France. The book is scarce, with WorldCat locating five copies of this edition.
