Inscribed by the sitter over photograph and mount "Daniel Nash Morgan US Treasurer Washington D.C. March 30 1897". Daniel Nash Morgan (1844-1931) served as Treasurer of the United States from 1893 to 1897, appointed by President Grover Cleveland.

Mounted photograph, image size 218 x 163 mm, mount size 357 x 305 mm.
Condition
Single tiny mark of discolouration at top right corner of photograph else in excellent condition; the mount generally toned, worn at extremities, tape residue on verso. Presented in a black gesso and gilt frame with conservation acrylic glazing.
