First, and only, edition of 150 copies, this number 7 of 25 "on handmade paper with the ornaments printed in red". This copy inscribed on the front free endpaper; "To Marie Corbett con amore Pickford Waller", together with a large floral decoration in the style of those to the text. Selection of works by his 17th-century kinsman attractively decorated by Pickford Robert Waller (1849-1930), artist-illustrator, "an avid collector of of Whistleriana, first met Whistler when he visited his studio as a young man" (University of Glasgow online).

Title-page decoration in red and twelve other similar, just one in black and white.
Condition
A little rubbed, spine sunned, small snag to the spine, light scatter of foxing to the margins, but overall a very good copy.
