Attractive leporello album of images reworked in an illustrative style from photographs made by the prominent Dundee firm of Valentine & Sons, Scotland's leading manufacturer of picture postcards. The London firm of Charles, Reynolds & Co. issued many such albums, this particular title being surprisingly uncommon, with WorldCat listing one copy only, at the National Library of Ireland.
Octavo (220 x 162 mm). Original red pebble-grain cloth covers, brown cloth spine, elaborately gilt titled and decorated front cover.
26 photo-lithographic images printed on coated paper on 18 panels folding out concertina-style to c. 2680 mm (approx. eight-and-three-quarter feet).
Contemporary neat bookseller's stamp to verso of final panel of Eason & Son, Belfast. A little rubbing to covers. In excellent condition.
