An attractively bound copy of this Fabergé retrospective by the British jeweller and Fabergé expert, Kenneth Snowman (he was as also the basis for Fleming's Octopussy character, Jim Fanning). Loosely inserted are some Fabergé-related press cuttings and the original Asprey invoice to Birmingham lawyer Gordon William Quance, issued in 1965, for this book.
Large octavo (238 x 180 mm). Finely bound for Asprey in red crushed morocco, spine lettered in gilt, raised bands, single gilt fillet frames to boards and compartments, motif of the two-headed eagle and Saint George slaying the dragon in gilt to front board, turn-ins richly gilt, marbled endpapers, edges gilt.
